1. Is there a circuit diagram I can refer to ?

Yes, circuit diagram is available in the product specification sheet.Please refer to the specification sheets available in Analog Resistive Touch screen Controller (4W-TFT) for 4 wire resistive controller.Please refer to the specification sheets available in Analog Resistive Touch screen Controller (5W-TFT) for 5 wire resistive controller.

2. How does the resistive touch screen work?

When you press your finger on a resistive screen, the top, flexible layer touches the bottom one, and the interruption in the electrical current is noted by the device, and it calculates the precise location of the point of contact. Depending on what button is located under your finger, the software registers the coordinates and performs the command. they respond to pressure, you can activate them with bare fingers, gloves, or styluses (remember the PalmPilot ?), but you can't swipe or use multi-touch gestures, because the electric current encased within can only successfully register one point of contact at a time.

3. What do I need to use a touchscreen?

Touchscreen, controller, controller cable, and driver software are needed.
In addition, a host computer (to which the driver software will be installed) and monitor (on which the touchscreen will be mounted) are needed.

4. Does a resistive touchscreen recognize multiple touched points simultaneously ?

Kernfix Multi-touch Analog Resistive Touchscreen recognize multiple touched points at a time.4-wire and 5-wire touchscreens do not recognize multiple touched points at a time.

5. Are the controllers compliant with RoHS ?

Yes, all of our controllers are compliant with RoHS.Please refer to Resistive Touch Screen - RoHS for status of compliance.
